National Coalition of People Living With HIV is India (NCPI +) is a national network of People Living with HIV (PLHIV), affected individuals and organisations with the vast range of experience and expertise from grass root to policy level. NCPI+ is based on the principle that, this long experience and expertise must contribute constructively and meaningfully in the policy and programme decisions to bring positive change in country. NCPI+ works with the aim to increase active, transparent and constructive participation of PLHIV and health activist to strengthen care, support and treatment response of the country and improve the quality of life of individuals and families to control HIV.

Inviting application for the post of 1 PO-Mizoram & 1 FLW of Manipur

  1. SR Project Officer-Mizoram (PO-Mizoram) based on Lunglei district

Position Summary:
The position requires program implementation experience and technical knowledge on HIV/ AIDS and PPTCT, with a minimum of 3-4 years of relevant working experience. The key responsibilities of the officers are to help public and private hospitals plan and implement ICTC/PPTCT programming in assigned districts and provide technical support to the facilities.

Location: The selected candidate will be based on Lunglei district and responsible for 5 (Lunglei, Champhai, Serchip, Lawngtlai & Siaha) districts of Mizoram state.

 

PO would be responsible for

  • Coordination with District Health Administration of all the assigned districts
  • Ensure completion of the Project activities in the districts on time
  • Revisit mapping, assessment and identify private health facilities providing and engagement of all private health facilities in the districts
  • Facilitate reporting of all engaged private health facilities in PULSE and SIMS
  • Facilitate roll out of periphery level testing (Sub-centre/VHND)
  • Facilitate Health Camps (only North East)
  • Facilitate regular and timely reporting of SAICTC, FICTC, Subcentre and VHND
  • Mapping of all Family Planning Centres and support FLW to link PPW with the same
  • Orientation of selected school going adolescents on PPTCT
  • Orientation of RRE, Adolescent Health Counsellor and other important district stakeholders on HIV and PPTCT
  • Facilitate formation, orientation and ensure quarterly District EMTCT Shakti Committees
  • Supporting Districts in EMTC gap assessment
  • Support formation of PPW support groups, orientation and make them functional as helping hands of FLW
  • Ensuring timely program reporting of the district(s)
  • Supportive and hand holding support to FLWs to ensure PPTCT cascade to the PPWs registered in the project

 

Educational qualifications and skill required for the position:
The ideal candidates must be post graduates in social work / social sciences/ management with an experience of at least 3-4 years in HIV/AIDS counselling, prevention, care, support, treatment services and mentoring.

  • Proficient in use of computers and internet applications

  • Analytical and documentation skills
  • Should be based at the districts allotted, for work in the respective zones
  • Willing to travel extensively (15-20 days in a month) in districts
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and meeting timelines
  • Accepts and ensures rigor in program implementation
  • Ability to work with large network of health care facilities from the government, private and non-governmental sectors

 

Remuneration: 3.6 lakh per annum

Basic Requirements:

Graduate/Master degree or higher qualification in Social Work/ MA in Social Sciences with an experience of at least 3-4 years in HIV/AIDS counselling, care support & treatment is required.

 

  1. 1 Field Level Worker (FLW) of Churachandpur district, Manipur State.

Position Summary:
The position requires program implementation experience and Field knowledge on HIV/ AIDS , with a minimum of 1 years of relevant working experience. Primary responsibility of field level worker will be to follow up the HIV positive pregnant women and their babies and families for providing care, support and treatment under PPTCT cascade. FLW will be responsible for following up with public facilities reporting in SIMS and the private facilities to report in PULSE software and meeting compliance.

Location: The selected candidates will be based on Churachandpur and responsible for Churachandpur & Pherzawl districts, Manipur.

 

 

Field Level Worker (FLW: Key Responsibilities)

  • Facilitating linkage of reactive PW with SAICTC for confirmation
  • Facilitating linkage of Positive Pregnant Women (PPW) with ART centre for treatment · Mapping of the Family Planning Centres and linkage of PPW to the same
  • Facilitating ANC and institutional delivery of PPW
  • Facilitating timely virological test for HIV exposed infants
  • Facilitating partner/Spouse testing of PPW
  • Facilitating receipt of PPTCT care cascade to PPW
  • Mentoring of the Sahayogini Support Groups
  • Ensure timely reporting of FICTC, SAICTC and Private Health Facilities
  • Support PO in completion of the program activities

Educational qualifications and skill required for the position:
The ideal candidates must be 10+ with an experience of at least 1 year in HIV/AIDS field.

Remuneration: 1.14 lakh per annum (aprox.)

NOTES:

1) The candidate living with HIV and affected by HIV/AIDS would be given the preference if S/he will fulfil the criteria as per JD for specific position.

2) The candidate for each position should be familiar with one of the regional languages of North east.
