                    Vacancy Announcement for the post of “Consultant: KP-PLHIV Project”

  1. National Coalition of People Living with HIV in India (NCPI+) is a national network of People Living with HIV (PLHIV) affected individuals and organization with the vast range of experience and expertise from grass root to policy level. NCPI+ is based on the principle that, this long experience and expertise must contribute constructively and meaningfully in the policy and programmer decisions to bring positive change in country. NCPI+ works with the aim to increase active, transparent and constructive participation of PLHIV and health activist to strengthen care, support and treatment response of the country and improve the quality of life of individuals and families to control HIV.

An improved quality of life of people living with HIV and an increased active participation in society. To improve the quality of life and provide a sense of belonging to people living with HIV and their families for full active participation in society and reduce further HIV transmission.

  1. Position: CONSULTANT for KP-PLHIV Project (1 position), based at New Delhi.
  2. Purpose of Consultancy:
  • To support review and revise (if needed) available capacity-building tools for positive speaking, advocacy, and governance for the PLHIV community in India.
  • To advise on the design and roll-out of different project components including youth mobilization, social security, capacity building, strengthening community collectives/networks, building & empowering communities, addressing human-rights-related barriers, effective HIV-SRHR services delivery, etc.
  1. Reporting to: Project Director / President of NCPI+
  2. Duration: 1st April 2023 to 31st December 2023
  3. Scope of Work:

Below given is the detailed scope of work for the consultant:

In coordination with Project Director and Project Manager, the consultant will:

  • Undertake a review of the existing training modules in the backdrop of needs and challenges of the PLHIV community;
  • Co-create/ adapt/ develop the training modules to become responsive to the current needs and challenges of the PLHIV community;
  • The consultant will coordinate with the Project Director and Project Manager of the program;
  • The consultant will follow the agreed timelines for developing/adopting the capacity building tools;
  • The consultant will follow the timelines which would be given to frame all the required capacity building documents on the basis of nature of the CBO capacity building;
  • No. of trainings for CBO, District and State Level PLHIV Networks and Key Population – Community Based Organizations.

 

Deliverables:

  • Review of Positive Speakers Manual, Governance/ Guidelines of PLHIV Networks and updating information in existing training modules as per community needs;
  • Review of drafts of revised modules;
  • Incorporating comments on finalized modules.

Number of days for Consultancy: The Consultant will be engaged for 10 days in every month.

Remuneration: The Consultant will be paid INR 7,00,000 in total to complete the given task.

Payment terms:

  • The consultancy payment will be made after completion of the deliverables
  • The Consultant need to submit the supporting bill/invoice.
  • Payment will be made after standard statutory deductions.

These Terms of Reference may be varied to reflect the changing needs of NCPI+. This will be done in full consultation with the Consultant. The Consultant will be expected to work in a flexible and adaptable manner, responding to changing needs, priorities and context.
