National Coalition of People Living with HIV is India (NCPI +) is a national network of People Living with HIV (PLHIV), affected individuals and organisations with the vast range of experience and expertise from grass root to policy level. NCPI+ is based on the principle that, this long experience and expertise must contribute constructively and meaningfully in the policy and programme decisions to bring positive change in country. NCPI+ works with the aim to increase active, transparent and constructive participation of PLHIV and health activist to strengthen care, support and treatment response of the country and improve the quality of life of individuals and families to control HIV.

Inviting application for the post of 1 Regional Medical Manager of Assam State

Job Description:


The position requires program implementation experience and technical knowledge on HIV/ AIDS and PPTCT, with a minimum of 5-6 years of relevant working experience. The key responsibilities of the officers are to help public and private hospitals plan and implement ICTC/PPTCT programming in assigned districts and provide technical support to the facilities.

Location: The selected candidate will be based in Guwahati and responsible for 8 State ( Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura ) of state.

 

Regional Medical Manager would be responsible for

  • Support the state teams in mapping of all private health facilities providing Antenatal Care Services and HIV Treatment Services.
  • Advocacy with the private medical associations and private health service providers to join hand with government on EVTHS
  • Orientation of the state chapters of private medical associations (FOGSI, IAP and IMA) and private health service providers on the Country EVTHS protocol
  • Provide overall technical guidance to Ahana and other projects
  • Regular analysis of program data and support the Program Team in identifying the gaps and planning for addressal of the same
  • Organizing regular capacity building of the outreach team on technical topics to facilitate effective counselling of the clients during home visits

 

  • Educational qualifications and skill required for the position:
    The ideal candidates must be Essential: MBBS, BDS, Ayush or MPH with an experience of at least Minimum 5+ years of work experience in the field of maternal, child health & HIV/AIDS programs.
  • Awareness on the scope and functioning of the Private Health Services sector at the state level
  • Networking skills to build liaisons with Private Medical Associations and the popular private health services providers
  • Able to develop state specific strategies Able to analyze program data & manage a program dashboard
  • Organizing & conducting Capacity Building on technical topics related to HIV and EVTHS
  • Proficiency in the usage of the computer (MS-Word, MS Excel, MS – Access)
  • Strong presentation and communication (written & oral) skill

 

NOTES: 1) The candidate living with HIV and affected by HIV/AIDS would be given the preference if S/he fulfil the criteria as per JD for specific position.
