National Coalition of People Living with HIV is India (NCPI +) is a national network of People Living with HIV (PLHIV), affected individuals and organisations with the vast range of experience and expertise from grass root to policy level. NCPI+ is based on the principle that, this long experience and expertise must contribute constructively and meaningfully in the policy and programme decisions to bring positive change in country. NCPI+ works with the aim to increase active, transparent and constructive participation of PLHIV and health activist to strengthen care, support and treatment response of the country and improve the quality of life of individuals and families to control HIV.

Inviting application for the post of 01 CAPACITY BUILDING OFFICER” KP GRANT PROJECT for Delhi.

Job Description:

  • Manage and implement training and capacity building initiatives for the programme ensuring high level of quality in the deliverables
  • Implement and commission training and capacity building programmes and resources to strengthen the capacity of community network state and districts
  • With the support of the line manager, develop a capacity building plan based on the analysis of the needs assessment.
  • Provide an on-going support to the team by creating Capacity Building opportunities
  • Ensure that all necessary requirements to ensure a successful training session are prepared in a timely manner including material, equipment, venue and transportation in coordination with the team
  • Ensure proper documentation of all training and capacity building session, keep track of the attendance sheets, training reports and training tracker.
  • Training at national and regional and district level with active WLHIV to carryout the routine PAP smear screening at each ARTC.
  • Provide development training for key managing committee members
  • Innovate and demonstrate effective training methodologies which can be best suited for community level participants
  • Formation of different forums eg; positive speakers, community leaders, representatives from high risk groups (MSM/ TG, FSW & IDU) etc. and youth
  • Prepare and maintain a resource directory of training institutes/ resource persons
  • Effectually maintain documentations pertaining to trainings; such as training data base, training reports, training evaluation reports, facilitator’s evaluation reports and share it with line manager.
  • Undertake other responsibilities not outlined above which are commensurate with a role of this nature in the charitable sector and which have been discussed and agreed between the line manager and the post holder
  • Strengthening existing PLHIV CBO’s and provide technical support, hand holding and capacity building of State and District PLHIV CBO’s
  • Travel to selected site locations and monitor activities
  • Timely correspondence with donors
  • Any other tasks assigned by the line manager.
Educational qualifications and skill required for the position:
Degree in social sciences, health or development field (or equivalent) with at least 2+ years of relevant project management experience in the health or development sectors. The criteria for selection will be relaxed for members from PLHIV or key population group with relevant experience and calibre and final decision lies with the interview panel§ Experience of providing capacity building of, organisations, especially those working at the community or grassroots level.

§ Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of SLN/DLN, partnerships, principles of NGO support and/or donor environment

§ Strong analytical skills, and the ability to synthesise complex concepts and to communicate them effectively

§ Excellent writing and verbal communication skills and facilitation skills

Strong commitment to HIV/AIDS and Act 2017, PLHIV and sexual and reproductive health and rights.

Fluent in English, Hindi and/or (any other regional languages)
