National Coalition of People Living With HIV is India (NCPI+) is a national network of People Living with HIV (PLHIV), affected individuals and organisations with the vast range of experience and expertise from grass root to policy level. NCPI+ is based on the principle that, this long experience and expertise must contribute constructively and meaningfully in the policy and programme decisions to bring positive change in country. NCPI+ works with the aim to increase active, transparent and constructive participation of PLHIV and health activist to strengthen care, support and treatment response of the country and improve the quality of life of individuals and families to control HIV.

  • To improve the quality of life and provide a sense of belonging to people living with HIV and their families for full active participation in society, and reduce further HIV transmission.

Inviting application for the post of National Program Manager (01 position), Based in Delhi and responsible for All Over India for Global Fund Project “KP Grant” 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overall program implementation and achievement of goals set.
  • Handle team priorities, maintain schedules and monitor performance of program staff.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of effective monitoring, review and evaluation strategies and activities for the programme against agreed project deliverables.
  • Develop tool and mapping for strengthening social protection scheme and conduct need assessment of the existing schemes
  • To develop next level leadership, give space and create opportunities for positive Youth/Adolescents and Women/mothers collectives under NCPI+ umbrella
  • To create job opportunities as per skills and interest of PLHIV and KPs.
  • Identify the gaps in terms of availably, accessibility and uptake of HIV related social protection schemes
  • Develop a compendium of different welfare schemes for each state that the program is implemented.
  • Develop the plan of action to do the liaison and advocacy with concerned government, line development agencies, and other relevant organizations for successful implementation of the program
  • Strengthening existing PLHIV CBO’s and provide technical support, hand holding and capacity building of State and District PLHIV CBO’s
  • Prepare modules, conduct SRH training to develop the capacity of youth and adolescents living with HIV mobilisation.
  • Development and execution of lead project planning, budgeting, action plans and monitor processes.
  • Organize and execute events, meetings, workshops, trainings and other community-related activities at the National/district/block level.
  • Review, analyse and provide quality and timely feedback on programme reports and other documents relating to programmes.
  • Analyse and document the progress, impact, challenges and lessons learned of the programme. Travel to selected site locations and monitor activities
  • Lead the preparation and submission of progress reports (narrative & financial) to the project lead and funding organizations and other documents
  • Timely correspondence with donors
  • Any other work related to the project implementation assigned by project lead.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in social sciences, health or development field (or equivalent).
  • At least 5 to 6 years of relevant project management experience in the health or development sectors. The criteria for selection will be relaxed for members from PLHIV or key population group with relevant experience and calibre and final decision lies with the interview panel
  • At least 3 years’ experience working in National HIV Care Support Programmes, including experience working with PLHIV, KP group and networks
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of development issues and the HIV epidemic(s) in India, particularly in relation to care, support and treatment and strong knowledge of SRH and CSS and CLM and social protection scheme.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of donor environment, donor relations and reporting systems.
  • Excellent analytical, writing and verbal communication skills and excellent skill in using MS office
  • Experience of working with multiple stakeholders in civil society and the government at different levels.
  • Strong commitment to HIV/AIDS and sexual and reproductive health and rights

Fluent in English, Hindi and (any other regional languages) Experience of working with multiple stakeholders in civil society and the government at different levels.

Remuneration: 10 – 12 lakh per annum

NOTES:

1) The candidate living with HIV and affected by HIV/AIDS would be given the preference if S/he will fulfil the criteria as per JD for specific position.
